When life becomes overwhelming.

My husband started a coaching course a few months ago and has slowly been working through it. But he has ADHD and struggles organising himself and his mind at times. The other night he said that he was supposed to be attending these end of module live sessions. He was unsure of the evidence needed and when he had to submit it, to attend these sessions. When he realised the sessions were only a couple of times a year, a specific one each month, he panicked he’d been approaching it all wrong.

So I took over and went through the course instructions and matched the reading material with the dates of the live sessions. I created one printed out document, which contained a timeline for each module's reading material. The important dates highlighted for the live sessions and when he had to submit evidence by. Also, exactly what evidence he needed to submit for each one.

After he read the document he said it felt like the world had lifted from his shoulders and he knew exactly how to approach it from now on. But also he realised that the work he had already completed hadn’t been in vain. He then felt like he had more headspace and time to do the things we enjoy together, such as walking.
